We Design With Evidence.
We Build With Heart.
We Serve With Purpose.
What We Do
KATHLYENE is a nonprofit research and design studio. We create tools, programs, and public initiatives that help people develop new skills, deepen insight, and move with purpose. Our work supports growth across personal, professional, and community spaces.
Every project begins with inquiry. We conduct research to understand context, surface patterns, and uncover what communities are already doing well. That insight becomes the foundation for everything we create.
Our offerings span education, leadership, entrepreneurship, cultural storytelling, and the evolving demands of the modern workplace. Some focus on emotional well-being. Others support skill building, transformation, or collective impact. Across topics and formats, our work is guided by cultural relevance, curiosity, and a deep respect for lived experience.
We design trainings, write curricula, build digital tools, and lead pilot programs. Each one is shaped with care and developed in collaboration with the people it’s meant to serve.
KATHLYENE exists to design what’s useful, share what’s needed, and make it easier for communities to grow on their own terms.
Meet the Founder
Jheri Holbert built KATHLYENE to bridge what she knew in her bones with what she uncovered in the data.
As a researcher, educator, and systems strategist, she brings clarity, care, and vision to every offering. Her leadership reflects years of listening to communities and noticing the quiet gaps inside systems that claim to serve them.
The work began in pieces. A conversation here. A pattern in the data. A sense of urgency that kept showing up in different forms. Over time, it became clear that something more intentional needed to be built.
KATHLYENE was her answer. It offers learning experiences grounded in wisdom, guided by equity, and rooted in emotional well-being.
